Cordial’s research and development staff is in tune with the latest developments in the paper and board industries. During the strictly controlled and safe production process, Cordial continuously analyse and check batch samples, in order to ensure the highest quality.

Cordial only develops and produces water based adhesives. The water used in the production process is 100% reusable, thanks to our very own water recycling facilities.
Cordial offers a wide variety of adhesives, from powder to liquid products. Liquid adhesives are typically safely packaged in containers of different sizes, from small containers to huge tankers. Powder adhesives are also manufactured both in bulk and special batches, and packaged and stored in a variety of ways.
 

Job summary

As an Operation Manager you will provide day-to-day leadership to the plant team and oversee daily operations. You are focussed to produce the orders in time and meet our strict quality requirements for the produced goods. Furthermore the Operation Manager oversees (preventive) maintenance and ensures compliance regarding safety and environment requirements. You will be supported in your work by experienced professionals such as our Technical Sales Engineers, HR, QHSE and Finance.
 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations in close cooperation with the CEO, Production Manager, Laboratory & Quality, Logistics and our Backoffice Sales,
  • Drive performance management, ensuring that all employees are adequately trained, equipped and motivated,
  • Comply with and ensure that existing safety policies, procedures and ISO guidelines are followed,
  • Oversee machinery performance and follow up on increase of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness),
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results,
  • Initiate projects to improve plant efficiency and encourage continuous improvement,
  • Determine and implement quality control standards,
  • Initiate cost improvement projects for labour, direct and indirect materials and overhead,
  • Continuously search for improvements on products, service and/or processes in order to minimize waste, without sacrificing productivity, efficiency and quality,
  • Set annual and long-term strategies for the production facility,
  • Prepare and monitor annual budgets for manufacturing, maintenance and production related investments,
  • Report a set of KPI’s to the CEO on a regular basis,

 

Required profile


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or business administration,
  • At least 8 years of proven work experience as a Plant Manager or Operations Manager, or Production Manager,
  • Fluent in Dutch, German and English (written and spoken),
  • Experienced in working with ERP-systems, preferably Exact Globe,
  • Experienced in working with Siemens TIA portal v. 15 and preferably Winn CC Scada v7.5,
  • Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resources allocation),
